I read the one by Joan Aiken Hodge many years ago. So far the Kloester one seems far more complete. & the one by Mary Fahnestock Thomas is on my wish list. I'm going to try to get it through library interloan (I tried to get it years ago & the library that had a copy refused to lend it outside their area!) Looks like the only way I can buy it would be through Amazon & I'm a bit hesitant about overseas buying? Anyone know if its worth the risk?

If it's the one I have a copy of, the Mary Fahnestock Thomas book is not a biography; it's a collection of early reviews, a few otherwise uncollected short stories, and other things of that sort. Interesting in itself but not a biography.
Awesome!I am intending to have one final try through the library interloan system. Changes to local body councils may mean that a public library can no longer refuse to loan out books. :)
Okay, having fetched out the Fahnestock-Thomas book, the main headings from the table of contents are:1. Her short published pieces [3 short stories and 3 articles]
2. Reviews of her books, 1921 - 1997
3. Obituaries and responses
4. Reference works [a brief rundown on what appears where]
5. Other articles and books [reprinted or excerpted]
6. Dramatizations, chronologically, [accounts of], including reviews
Appendix A: Her books, chronologically
Appendix B: Her books, alphabetically
