What books from the 3 year would you recommend to others? I just got into epic fantasy so I wanna get some suggestions, but any fantasy and sci-fi is fine.

I'm kind of behind on fantasy, most of what I know is from 2011 or so and back. But the Stormlight Archive is pretty good, the 3rd book comes out next week, I believe. Memory Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams is great. It was written in the 80s, but Williams is coming out with a new trilogy in the same world. The Witchwood Crown just came out this summer. Finally, the Rise and Fall of DODO by Neal Stephenson is good. It's a cool mix of urban fantasy and sci fi, came out this year.
Age of Myththis is book 1 of what will be 6 i think, also leads you on to his other ork which is all great in my opinion

Reading that right now actually! :D
Damn! The problem with fantasy is you start a series and then it is 10 books long at 700 - 1k pages a book, I do not get much time to read new books.
I do agree with the stormlight archives suggestions though, I will be tucking into the latest one when it comes out and after I have finished a rihria book I am currently on :)

Each year I ask members what were their favorite SF&F novels published in the previous years. You can read the various recommendations there if you like...
• Favorite SF&F Novels of 2014
• Favorite SF&F Novels of 2015
• Favorite SF&F Novels of 2016
I expect I'll be asking the same question about 2017 in a few weeks.
Based on recent awards performance, I'd suppose some of the most noteworthy are...
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie
Space opera, un-gendered, hive-minded empire. Trilogy/
The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin
Space opera, distant aliens with a problem. Trilogy
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
Fantasy/SciFi crossover, future Earth. Trilogy.
They've been the clear dominants in Hugo, Nebula & Locus awards lately.
I'd also recommend:
City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
Another world, a different type of gaslight fantasy of gods & politics. Trilogy.
The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
A political fantasy, without the usual magic. Stand-alone.
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
An almost traditional fantasy with lots of charm. Stand-alone.
Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee
Military space-opera, politics. Trilogy.
Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson
Generation ship from hard-SF master. Stand-alone.
New Moon by Ian McDonald
Moon colonization for profit and mayhem. Duology.
Infomocracy by Malka Ann Older
A future take on global governance in the super-internet age. Stand-alone, with sequel.
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Space-opera in the vein of Firefly. Stand-alone with sequel.
The Martian by Andy Weir
Geeky mars survival story. Stand-alone.
Three Parts Dead by Max Gladstone
This 5-book series began 5 years ago, but its conclusion covers your 3-year period and it's a really amazing take on magic as economics.
The Two of Swords by K.J. Parker
This serial of 19 monthly novellas just finished last month, features Parker's unique characters & prose.
