In this book I believe there is a young Asian girl who traces lines or patterns on the floor as part of a religious practice?? I believe in the end they find she is OCD. I thought this was a Sheri Tepper book but I have them all and this is not one of them. I can't recall any other details other than this was only one half of the plot line.
