For the record, I loved the first book of the last trilogy, but I can see how others might struggle with the slow burn plot. To me it was beautiful in its subtlety. To others it was boring as fuck haha.
When you said Royal Ass I thought you were talking about Regal lmao.
When you said Royal Ass I thought you were talking about Regal lmao.
I might try to combine info from both our threads and send the other one to archive. It seems like we're redundant since the spreadsheet was introduced lol.
That was painful, but I finally finished it:Title: The Shadow Rising
Author: Robert Jordan
Pages: 1007
Buddy Read? Yes
Challenge? Yes - Incomplete Series
Total points: 17.8
That's the last book I will read from Jordan.

Congrats for finishing, Miche! and holy shit that's a huge point!! :D
Petrik wrote: "Congrats for finishing, Miche! and holy shit that's a huge point!! :D "Thank you, Petrik! :D
Good job Miche!!! I have to be honest, I'm considering DNF. The first 25% was good, but NOTHING IS HAPPENING! I really wanted to keep going just to see if I could (it's a vendetta) but I got off track of my manageable few chapters a day. It's not looking too good for me either.
Petrik "Regal Fitz" bwahahaha

I'm pretty sure Rob is keeping a constant backup in case of deletion. Our team is so organized though I don't think it would be a huge problem lol.
@Niki, I thought of dnf too. At some point I just lost interest. Too bad as it started strong.@Liam, I actually liked the story. The writing not so much. ;-)
I am now reading Warbreaker and I was quickly reminded of how much I like Sanderson's writing. This one I will finish this weekend!

It's still one of my favorite Sanderson books. The only one I've read 3 times now.
I love Warbreaker! Hope you enjoy it =].Weirdly enough, I'm not super into the Wheel of Time story as much as I just enjoy the way that Jordan writes haha. The style of writing just appeals to me, I couldn't even tell you why

Woohoo! Way to go, Miche!
Everybody can also back up their own scorecard tab to Google Drive... just click the arrow down on your tab and "Copy To.." and save it to MyDrive...
Speaking of max points, I think Oathbringer + bonus points is 22-23pts

How did you like Eragon? I read that book as a teen and loved it. I don't think I would like it now though. I've read too much good fantasy books and have higher expectations :p

Basically what you just said.. Not too good, considering that I'm reading this for the first time as an adult and already read a lot of books in the genre xD
Iain wrote: "Did you read it for the authored under age 25 bingo slot?"I actually didn't plan to. But my friend gave that book on my birthday a few weeks ago, so might as well. Now that slot is done! xD
Thank you, Miche! I shall be done with one more tomorrow. It's for the SPFBO contest, I have only 3 books left to go, can't wait to be done with this. xD
Good job guys! I've read absolutely nothing this whole weekend since I've been down with the flu. Couldn't even pay attention to audiobooks. Been watching mindless netflix instead. Starting to feel a little better so maybe I can try to catch up a bit tonight.
Oh bummer Diana - I hope you feel better this week. That's the worst when you're so sick you can't even enjoy a day off.
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "Good job guys! I've read absolutely nothing this whole weekend since I've been down with the flu. Couldn't even pay attention to audiobooks. Dang. Why is it that we always seem to get sick on the weekend? lol Murphy's law for me every time. Hope your meeting is short and painless.
What do you do for living at home? If you don't mind me asking. :)

I've been sick for New Year's Eve five times in a row now. People don't even invite me to events anymore :o

Oh no!! Haha that's horrible because then people think you're playing sick to get out of going. 5 years in a row is crazy!

Yes, exactly! The fact that I have a reputation for sometimes ditching parties for a quiet evening spent reading is not helping either hahaha.

I don't work at home normally. I'm a private equity accountant. I have the option to work from home if I need to. Sadly, it's busy time right now and there's no real option to be sick :-/
