I also read The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince last year! I think it is a nice addition to the series and I liked the Illustrations. It answers some of the questions I had while reading Fool's Errand. :)

Knowing that is worth reading feels like finding a $20 in my house. I have more Hobb to read!! :D

Not really a spoiler but I'll tag it! (view spoiler) that's all :D

My first points! It's not a lot, but I'm proud :)
I bought the Smart Audiobook Player (this app is wonderful) for Android and started listening at an increased speed. It should help me bringing more points woohoo.

That's the app I have. I think this is the first app I actually paid for and have no regrets.
I don't think you need a scorecard here anymore. Niki said we don't need to update them anymore since the spreadsheet is working so well. As long as you update the spreadsheet I think that's where we're getting the points from.
Also, yay for finishing your first book towards the challenge! What did you think of Skin Deep? I didn't love it as much as Legion.

Can I use my audible books in the Smart Audiobook Player? What is the benefit of it as compared to the Audible app?
Liam wrote: "Can I use my audible books in the Smart Audiobook Player? What is the benefit of it as compared to the Audible app?"I think it's comparable to the audible app. I have both. I like smart audiobook player for the audiobooks I get elsewhere, like from friends. It's main benefit is being able to pick any speed and go back or forwards with ease. It's the same stuff the audible app does but for books not gotten through audible.
Liam wrote: "Can I use my audible books in the Smart Audiobook Player? What is the benefit of it as compared to the Audible app?"I've never used the Audible app so I can't compare. The functionalities are the same I think. I'm using this one to listen to audiobooks I borrow from my neighbor. She has a wonderful collection (also, she's super nice and makes delicious cookies!) :)

I'll update my spreadsheet then, and announce new points here once in a while to motivate myself haha.
I listened to Legion and Skin Deep back to back (hum, track to track?) so they blend in together in my mind. Legion is a little better IMO 'cause of the novelty of the MC's

How did this compare to the first trilogy?"
The parts that were similar to the first trilogy were amazing and I loved them just as fiercely. However, whereas the first focuses more on political intrigue & deep cultural immersion (my fav components), this one is more about exploration and skimming many different cultures. Moiren was a lovely MC and I enjoyed reading about her immensely. Overall, I think it's worth reading, but the things I loved the first series were only there in brilliant flashes in this one.

Great work, team!I am stuck reading a Wheel of Time book that is almost putting me in a reading slump. I am hoping to finish it soon, but I won't make promises, lol.

you're still reading that series!? I thought you gave up already! xD

you're still ..."
I cave in to read this one as people told me it was the best one from Jordan. It is much better than the previous ones and I can say that the book is good. However, I still struggle with his writing style, especially his females pov.
I decided to finish this one but I won't read any other book by Jordan. I will read the summaries and jump to Sanderson's books.

I totally feel your pain. I kept reading because I felt like I really had to if I was going to be going to JordanCon every year, but I hated the way he wrote women. And I found the novels long winded and boring. I just kept reading to get to the Sanderson novels.
I am among the few that enjoy Jordan's writing (though I COMPLETELY agree about the way he writes women. I had the same problem with Brian McClellan in Powder Mage), but really, I know I'm in it for the Sanderson books haha.
This might sound funny, but I think part of the problem is the lack of contractions. Like, instead of "didn't" he writes "did not." And I think that little writing habit is enough to stir my impatience whenever I'm reading it. I truly wish I loved it as much as a die-hard. It's just not happening haha. I hit the 50% mark today.

I dont think I cna do it. Right now they're not in my TBR. Reading 10 huge books you don't like just to get to Sanderson is not worth it. I haven't started it so I can't be sure yet of course, but I don't think I'll get to them until I finished all Malazan books, which will most likely be next year xD

It is so so bad. It's about equal parts bad as Assassin's Apprentice, which I loved, is good.

Hahaha I've heard this from so many people. I keep going back and forth between wanting to read everything that Hobb has ever written and not being motivated to start even the first book.

I don't recall this book being tedious to read. But then, I read Hobb's first 3 trilogies as a kid. I wasn't very particular about my reads back then, I just devoured every book available in the library :)

Ass Apprentice and Royal Ass was great, this one was just atrocious. It was barely a 2 stars read for me. xD

I'll let you know by the end if it's worth it or not. Some of her fans have warned me that Ass Quest is really bad and a pain to go through, they were right. But after that, they also said that Liveship Traders and Tawny Man really shines. I'll see how it goes!
I think you'll be okay from here. Through liveship, tawny, and rain wild. The only one I'm concerned about for you is the first book of the final trilogy. :)

The Liveship trilogy is great. Probably my favorite :)
I agree with Nikki, you might find Fool's Assassin difficult to go through.

4.4 points from His Majesty's Dragon! On to a few GN and An Echo of Things to Come :D *demonic laughter*
