Old-school dungeons, that were hard, were a blessing and a curse... I did a bunch of legion dungeons recently, to clear the quests out of my log, and went in with no knowledge of the fights... this late in the expac it doesn't matter much, and DBM picks up the slack, but you run into so many types of players, and you just zerg everywhere... most times it isn't a problem, but sometimes you get real a$$holes... like this Demon Hunter tank in Eye of Azshara who used his double-jump glide to get up the 4th boss alone, getting some of the party killed for trying to go around the long way without a tank... I called him on it and was rewarded with some slurs for not being happy with the free ride, since he solo'd the boss over 5-10 minutes...

I want to get the Artifact Fishing Pole before BFA... I used to make mistakes like that all the time before equipment sets were a thing... now I run the risk of disenchanting my gear trying to unlock transmog skins before I DE things on my level 102 demon hunter alt...

I can't really use headphones at the moment... I use too many USB peripherals, and static in my apartment last winter has caused problems with my computer... I kept causing the TV monitor to blink out until I figured out the problem and got a humidifier... last time I connected my headphones, I couldn't get them to register correctly in the last open USB port... sometimes I have problems connecting my Kindle/phone to add ebooks/audio as well...

It's about time for a computer upgrade anyway (6 years) but Graphics cards are so expensive in this BitCoin farming world we live in... but a quick google search shows prices might be stabilizing, and I can build my new rig soon...

Oh yes, if I am doing braindead activities on WoW, I always put an audiobook on!
I have been away from WoW now for almost 3 months and I am itching to resume playing. Itching.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments Does anyone have suggestions for a book that meets the following criteria?

read a book with a planned (or executed) genocide/mass extinction, or with multiple dead bodies/people being killed on the cover.

Preferably something not super long since I have to get it read by the end of the month and I still have Malazan's House of Chains coming up.

That's really hard. The only thing that came to my mind is Sanderson's Well of Ascension and Mark Lawrence Broken Empire (All three book fit the criteria and are short)

I think most Riyria-related books count... humans are anti-elf in Riyria Revelations... elves are anti-human in Legends of the First Empire...

None of Riyria books have the cover art that she's looking for though. Or does she mean one way or the other?

Sha | 1522 comments Nine Goblins is more mass murder than mass extinction or genocide.

At this point I should give up and admit to not really comprehending the requirements, so I will do so.

Anything other than an empty cell or "n" will trigger the challenge bonus points.
