The first few books were fun

Is it worse that Wheel of Time? I am so happy I let it go of that series! I know a lot of people loves it, but it wasn't my style. I might still read the ones written by Sanderson though.
Please welcome your new team member Lena :-). Lena, you can just add your points into a thread here until you are set up on the spreadsheet. Include anything you've read from the 4th March onwards to count for the challenge :-).
Oh wow I’m on a Team!!! Thanks guys! That’s 13 Books (not counting DNFs) so I’m going to need to take a little time and write that up.

I certainly did! I thought this one was one of the best in the entire series! :D

I created your spreadsheet so you can start entering your books. It seems that updating the spreadsheet on a tablet/phone is a nightmare so you'll have to do that from a computer.
If you want me to help you enter the data, make a pretty spreadsheet (like Zaara's or Melissa's) or add a bunch of stats, just say the word. I told this team several time already: I'm an Excel nerd. I like tinkering with the spreadsheets and if I can help a teammate at the same time, that's even better ;)
Hey team, I just wanted to apologize for being a little awol. I've been dealing with a fairly serious medical issue over the last few weeks that culminated in an emergency surgery. I'm on the mend and doing okay, but I'm not 100%. Just wanted you all to know I appreciate having an awesome team and a good place to lurk when I need a mood boost. ;)
You have nothing to apologize for, Niki. I hope you'll get better soon. Can't talk for the others, but I appreciate having an amazing Captain :) If our team thread is such a good place to lurk and decompress, it's because you made it that way!

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of wheel of time. If it wasn't for wanting to get to the end books that Sanderson wrote I would have abandoned it in the beginning. Sookie is at least short and easy, so there's a little fun in it. Jordan just dragged, with horrible characters. There. I said it.

If I ever uttered such words at JordanCon I'd get kicked out for sure. That's going to be my secondary costume, a Wheel of Time fan. Shhhh.
I finally finished a book today after starting like 8 of them over the last few weeks (which means I'm like 75% through most of them and will likely mic drop a thousand points sometime next week).

I've had a gorgeous box set on my shelves of this series for a couple years and am super excited to finally be reading it. It's a true continuation from Percy Jackson and I love where the author is taking it.
Tangent note: I made a list of owned series I'd like to read in 2018 (stuff that has been taking up space for ages) https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... and I decided I'm going to tackle them in descending order based on average rating. This, Temeraire (Novik), and Gemmell's Rigante series are at the top so hopefully they'll be entertaining enough to keep me motivated. All indirectly for my overflowing bookshelf challenge. :)

Oooh!! Okay, so I'm giving you the insider scoop here. My name came out for book club a few weeks ago and Dead Iron was going to be one of my nominations for June... should I find something else and schedule this? Or should we loosely pick a date and see if it wins?
I really don't want June either as I'm on practicum. July 21st? Do you have anything else scheduled then Lena?
I was just thinking this morning how I wish it was higher up on the rating so I could read it sooner. It screams at me every time I see it on the shelf. I'm looking forward to it. :)
It’s a lovely looking book with a good description and the subsequent Books rate higher. July 21st sounds great.

Oh wow. That's some determination lol.
I probably won't try this series then.
