I had more than a few issues with his writing, but he was just so good at his characters that I consider him to be a favorite. If you haven't read Riyria Revelations give that series a shot =]. "Just realized I never answered... I've read the Riyria Revelations, and Chronicles too. I LOVED them :D I think my favorite villain was (view spoiler)
I have to read Sullivan's Legends series.

Nice!! Mega points. Good job team! :D
In other news, I feel like I haven't finished a book in ages.

I feel under pressure to start performing well here! Let’s see how much I can contribute so far and what I can do to help here!

Gah, I can't get any reading either. I'm just waiting at home for a guy at the other side of the country to sign a paper so I can start my new job. I'm restless BUT can't concentrate on a book. GRRR

Niki Hawkes wrote: "Please help me welcome Aristea to Team Tome Raiders!! :D I'm excited to have you."Welcome aboard!

The idea of four London is seriously super intriguing, also the advertisement that VE Schwab write only adult fantasy, turns out to be probably the biggest lie I've ever received because imo it was YA through and through.

Oh my, I'm usually not fond of desserts but those cupcakes... YUMMY
Veronica wrote: "I'm going to try to remember to update my spreadsheet tonight. I have nine books to add."Points, points, points! Woohoo!
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Virginie - congrats on the new job! What type is it?"Thanks! It's actually a 6-months internship to finish my master in Civil Engineering but they already promised a job for after I get my degree.
I'll be a Construction Site Manager (well, assistant at first :p) for a big-ass urban project in Monaco. Mainly adapting the draft structural schematics when problems arise, ordering construction materials (concrete! WE NEED MORE CONCRETE!), negotiating with the local authorities, planning the workers' shift, those kind of things.
Petrik wrote: "The idea of four London is seriously super intriguing, also the advertisement that VE Schwab write only adult fantasy, turns out to be probably the biggest lie I've ever received because imo it was YA through and through ."Yeah, and I'm not a fan of YA. I only read the first book because the second book came up as a BoTM selection in another one of my groups and I figured I'd give it a shot, what with the cool cover and the interesting sounding blurb. I was pretty disappointed.

Now if I can just remember to add them! lol
Veronica wrote: "Okay, I added my nine books and 46.9 points."Well done Veronica!
I was thinking about something this morning about the point counting: Do we all refer to the same version of books (e.g., paperback, hardback) so that there is no difference with the number of pages for the same books?
Yay Veronica, good job :D@Aristea Yes, we use the page count of the most popular edition on Goodreads, unless you're not reading in English. Then, you can use the page count of your edition.
I sometimes read French translation and the page count is always higher ('cause... lots of useless words and weird grammar rules haha) :D

You're welcome, and thanks!
I'm excited to start... This internship means less time to read, but more money to buy books. I predict I'll turn into a book hoarder.

Welcome to my (and any bookworm's really) world! :P
I just started two book challenges since I saw it boosts the points (besides being fun and, I think, interact well with each other!). I think I can tick some boxes (and score some points!) in the next couple of days!
Thanks, fellow Tome Raiders!Virginie wrote: "I'm excited to start... This internship means less time to read, but more money to buy books. I predict I'll turn into a book hoarder. ."
That just makes you normal around here. ;-)

Yay! Have fun with your challenges :)
If you're gunning for the bonus points, then you may want to start the Incomplete Series challenge. It covers around 90% of my reads huhu.

I couldn't let her do it ;-) lol
Virginie - wow! What a cool internship! And a job afterwards? That rocks - congrats on hard work that seems to be paying off! :)
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "I couldn't let her do it ;-) lol ..."You're welcome to it, lol. I've never even checked out any of the tabs and other stuff on the spreadsheet. I go straight to mine, update it, and back out slowly.
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Virginie - wow! What a cool internship! And a job afterwards? That rocks - congrats on hard work that seems to be paying off! :)"Thanks! The funny thing is that this opportunity came out of nowhere. I already did a 3-month internship for that company some years ago, so I contacted my old project-manager thinking he could pass on my resume to the HR department.
He offered me a job on the spot! Apparently, one of their junior engineers left for the concurrence the day before. Talk about good timing :p

Oh, really? First thing I did was to tinker with my spreadsheet to make it all pretty and add a bunch of cool stats. I check the scoreboard daily along with my GR notifications...
EDIT: Wow, that sounds a bit pathetic lol

I'm actually secretly hoping you would over take me. It's a lot of pressure. Like I want to take a break, but feel I can't. Someone needs to take the lead so that I can say, aw well, I give up, and watch netflix lol

Netflix is important. I don't think anyone will begrudge you a binge watch here and there. :-)

I have been trying to watch some of the Olympics and my girl is having none of it. Though she seems interested in the medal bit - ha!
