Oddly enough, Michael Sullivan has some EXCELLENT villains in his books. I had more than a few issues with his writing, but he was just so good at his characters that I consider him to be a favorite. If you haven't read Riyria Revelations give that series a shot =].

You're in for a treat with Ship of Magic. I'm with Petrik here, it's a brilliant book.

I agree that Darker Shade of Magic is overhyped. I'm at probably 75% right now. I think it's ok but nothing too special. I'm excited to start Ship of Magic cuz I loved the Farseer Trilogy and so far that's the only thing I read by her. Want to see how her other books go.

For me.. Darker Shade of Magic trilogy is the WORST trilogy I've ever read; literally the number one worst trilogy.

Glad you like the sequel of Ship of Magic though. I re-read all 16 books of the Realm of the Elderlings last year, and enjoyed them even more this time around.

The spreadsheet was adjusted so you can add your books in advance, but the points won't populate in the total column until you add in the date you finished the book. So adding in books is totally ok as long as you leave the date blank :-)
