Me neither. I can barely keep up with my 14 scheduled buddy reads in Feb. I'm already behind in all of them. But wishful thinking....

Hahaha the one you wrote over in the matchmaker thread literally made me lol. The pornography one lmao

Lol. Me, too. I like feeling productive.
Good job guys!
Nice! It's fun to see updates, especially when I'm in the middle of a big book and haven't had any in a couple lol.
Diana, I'm kind of booked through the first half of 2018. Would you be up for scheduling Pure for sometime in the second half of the year? :)
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Diana, I'm kind of booked through the first half of 2018. Would you be up for scheduling Pure for sometime in the second half of the year? :)"Sure! I'm in.
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Also, Justin might be joining us... fingers crossed. :)" Yay! One good point is that he can add all books he read since the start of the year as he was assigned to the team since we started the competition. :)

No surprise I'm falling behind lol. And one of them is 1200 page Oathbringer, which sadly I don't think I'll be finishing this month.

Is this series any better than Drizzt? I gave up on that one after book 2.

It's honestly like apples to oranges and depends on the mood you're in. This is more classic fantasy with a slow burn, whereas Drizzt, at least Dark Elf, has more modern complexity...kind of. Anyway, I can't say as though I'm enjoying it as a whole enough to endorse though - there are 5 star cant-put-it-down moments and 2 star this-is-dragging moments. Averages out to 3 stars for me.
Although it's worth mentioning that the Dark Elf trilogy is one of my favorites... yeah. Bummed you didn't like it.

Nevermind... not yet. Iain filled it out on his behalf and I thought Justin had joined us.

I was wondering if I should do it... I hope Justin will join us though!

Virginie, both me and Diana are rereading it. We already read it last November when it was released. I can guarantee we both are loving it! ;-)

I think 21 points! Lol. It's a reread for me. After I just read it 3 months ago. So yes, def love this book :-)

I'm glad we had the same response though :-)

@Miche and DianaAn Oathbringer re-read... What a good idea! I can't join 'cause I'm overbooked but I'll probably follow the conversation :)
I liked WoR better but I still devoured Oathbringer when it came out :D

I agree. I don't think he can top the feelings I had for Words of Radiance. I was just so... awed? In love? Gushing over a book? Oathbringer was ok, but not WOR good.
I'm going to be doing the Oathbringer reread slowly since I have so many other books. I wouldn't be surprised if it carries over into March. But I'm still participating on the thread so it counts as a buddy read!
The Way of Kings is still my favorite of the SA books. I'd rank them in order of their publication actually, since I've liked each book just a tad less than its predecessor. In truth, I'm starting to get annoyed at Sanderson's tendency to (view spoiler)

Don't care what Sanderson does with her. She and I are not friends.
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "Veronica wrote: "The Way of Kings is still my favorite of the SA books. I'd rank them in order of their publication actually, since I've liked each book just a tad less than its predecessor. In tru..."But the redemption arcs are so beautiful 😭😭😭.
But really, I can honestly agree with that haha. Sanderson's villains are not usually quite as incredible as other aspects of his books, and while I love a good redemption story, a really solid villain does *wonders* for a book series.
It's one of the reasons why The Faithful and the Fallen was one of my all time favorites. Great mix of those redemption stories, while still having literally a myriad of characters that you absolutely hate in your bones.
