Challenge is open for sign-ups and to reserve a spot before the read-a-thon, but only books finished during the time frame will count toward this challenge.
READ-A-THON DATES:
Start Date: Tuesday, October 24th at 12:01 a.m. (EST)
End Date: Tuesday, October 31st at 11:59 p.m. (EST)
RULES:
- Maximum of 3 squares per book.
- You can win horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Each time you get a bingo you get 1 point.
- Bingo can be won multiple times.
- If you cover your entire board, you get a bonus 5 points.
Clarifications on Challenge Categories:
- If just a one-word topic is listed (i.e. bats, pumpkins, etc.), then that noun just needs to make an appearance in the book somewhere to count.
- For scary cover, there just needs to be something there that COULD scare someone; it doesn’t necessarily need to be scary to you specifically.
- Cover colors should be primarily that color, but as long as there is a large portion of the color on the cover, it will count.
- An example of “Classic Horror Story or Retelling” would be like Bram Stoker’s Dracula or a Dracula retelling. Try the Essential Horror list for reference.
- Genres must have the specified genre listed on the main page genres for the book.
