I can't find this book with my novice methods anywhere. I want to confirm the true spelling of the illustrator's name. I assumed it would be Anderson and found out there is a Wayne Anderson Illustrator and he did illustrate a edition of The Wizard of Oz but it looks different.

So I put the misspelling back and am asking for help.

lethe | 13731 comments The editions are different, but looking at the Scarecrow's hat on both covers, I am certain they are by the same illustrator.

And also the Tin Man and Dorothy, now I see the larger image.

Emy (emypt) | 5029 comments I think your correction was accurate in the aspect of the misspelling. For me at least, putting w instead of e is very easy due to their location on the keyboard.

I wonder, however, if Mr Anderson is incorrectly added as illustrator, and another illustrator was responsible for this edition. Pippbrook is an Imprint of Templar, and while I can't see this cover on their site, they did reprint an Ingpen illustrated edition...: To me it looks similar to Ingpen's style on the cover - what do you think?

What do you think Emy when you see them all side by side?

lethe | 13731 comments I stand by my earlier assessment :)

Emy (emypt) | 5029 comments I think I'm not an artist :) I was looking up Pippbrook when Lethe wrote so I didn't see her comment before - it's a place near here so had to dig through 10 tons of local gubbins first!

I am more concerned that there is no indication from the publisher that they had permission for both artists, but it's entirely feasible that they had Anderson, and now have Ingpen, hence no evidence remaining.
