Hmm, I don't think so, because in HG the characters fight for survival and rights. Well actually, the students in HP do fight for their rights, but still, I think that HG and HP are very different from each other. Maybe if other people have ideas I'll start to see some good points.
Not really, the only similarity I personally see is the hero's journey thing. That's literally it.
