1 - 30 November 2017

This challenge is to see if you can find all the words listed below within your reading for the month. You do not need to preselect a level.

The maximum number of words for each book is THREE. There is no page limit.

0-3 words : better luck next time
3-5 words : warming up
6-8 words : getting hotter
9-10 words : CHAMPION hunter!

November
addition
cool
grumpy
holiday
mist
pine
push
ruthless
tremble
trick

Bonus
For our over-achievers who just need some extra words because the above weren't enough...

Unlike with the 10 words above - you must find the EXACT word to claim these bonus words, and I try to make them hard.

geometric
juggling
lush
spades
uneven

To prove that you have found the word, please quote the page, percentage or LOC (Kindle) and include the sentence in which it appears.

Audiobooks are allowed so long as you can quote the page/%/LOC and the sentence. (Eg Using whispersync or finding that sentence in some other way.)

You must find the actual word or the word's root word must be at the core with the meaning essentially remaining the same ~ just turned into a noun, adjective, adverb etc. No prefixes or hyphenated extensions. An extension is allowed where it is often the accepted spelling eg goodbye or good-bye.

Where a word has more than one meaning, either meaning may be used. Eg coast (beachfront) or coast (moving without effort) etc

Please post all entries, updates, final posts and questions in this thread.

Examples for 'Reversal'

p50-51 : There were a couple of bands Tam had that this person didn't, but none in the reverse.

Reversing - Sunset √ 10 Jul
p204 : Reversing his grip on his katana, he held it out to Nick.

Jane (PS) | 19628 comments Tips for finding words - courtesy of Jennifer ♔Princess Penguin♔

Using Google books:
~Go here https://books.google.com/bkshp?hl=en&...
~Type in the name of your book
~Select your book
~On the left about midway down there will be a search bar, type your word in there.

Couple of things you need to know...
~you need to check every variety of the word you want so, let's say GROUP doesn't show up you would also need to type in GROUPS/ED/ING
~Unfortunately, 99% of the books on Google does not list page numbers (at least in my experience)

Using Amazon:
~You search for your book
~Once on your book page make sure you are on a version that is paperback or hardcover (Kindle editions will not work)
~On the left there will be a picture of your book and it should have "Search Inside" above it
~Click on the book and the search bar will be inside

You will not need to search separately for plurals but you will still need to search separately for -ed and -ing

***
You can also search for words in all the books loaded on your Kindle.

On the home page, use the 'search' function.
~ type in the word and select 'search my items'.

10/10

ADDITION - Elements of Mischief location 2125, 42% (11/13/17)
"Generally, there's a certain amount of power, raw energy, magic in an area. Any major addition or subtraction to that is going to draw attention."
COOL - Holy Frigging Matrimony: A Tangled Series Short Story location 519, 76% (11/8/17)
Today's dancing is practically sex with your clothes on, dry humping in a room full of people. And I'm definitely into that. "What? Too cool for the electric slide?"
GRUMPY - Date with Death location 389, 20% (11/11/17)
"I'll find out what you want to know. Now get out." Mick knew he sounded grumpy, and Lucifer smirked before he popped out of sight, the lingering scent of brimstone making Mick groan. How was he supposed to hide that telltale calling card?
HOLIDAY - Tangled location 1570, 43% (11/8/17)
Particularly if, like myself, last weekend's typical Saturday score night had to be bypassed because of family-related holiday obligations? But if that's the only action your getting? Well, that's just…sad.
MIST - Hell's Bells location 507, 32% (11/21/17)
A headless horseman on a charging steed of mist came towards them. Lucifer yelled, "Duck!" Her Lord ordered so she obeyed, managing to shove against the bar enough that her face ended up in his lap.
PINE - Tangled location 1729, 47% (11/8/17)
Just so you know, men don't expect a woman to smell like Winter Pine or Niagara Falls or whatever the fuck those feminine products say. It's a pussy-it's supposed to smell like one. That's the fucking turn on.
PUSH - Persuasion location 2739, 66% (11/5/17)
I wanted to pump my fist in the air and cheer, but that was hardly appropriate, so instead I attempted to push between Stone Boulder Number One and Stone Boulder Number Two-otherwise known as Rome and Yael.
RUTHLESS - Indecent location 375, 38% (11/14/17)
He turned and spit into the hearth, the sizzle hissing his disregard. "Forgiveness is a Christian concept. Are not our Gods more ancient and ruthless?" "Yours certainly are," she murmured diplomatically.
TREMBLE - Hell's Geek location 2856, 83% (11/19/17)
Kissing the molten hilt, he smiled-a smile that had made the strong hearted tremble. A smile that had brought about ammonia lakes. A smile that said, "Hello, asshole. Prepare to die."
TRICK - Mr. Romantic location 1495, 38% (11/22/17)
"Is that the reason you came here? To trick me into taking your virginity?" "You're the one who invited me here!" she yells. "You came on to me!"

Bonus

GEOMETRIC
JUGGLING
LUSH - Elements of Mischief location 279, 5% (11/13/17)
A smug grin curved access his lush lips as I took a minute to appreciate the specimen before me. "Oops," he smirked, "guess you have to marry me now, too. Sorry, sug."
SPADES - Date with Death location 894, 45% (11/11/17)
Women could say what they wanted, but a man who knew his way around a pussy with his mouth was priceless. Contrary to masculine popular belief, oral pleasure took some skill and Mick had that in spades.
UNEVEN - The Fallen King location 15380, 95% (in The Bellum Sisters Book Bundle) (11/17/17)
"It's perfect." He drove into her faster, harder. They were one with uneven breaths mingling and lips clinging to each other without really kissing.

Carryovers
1/2

October
SUCCINCT - Déjà Vu & Gin location 541, 18% (11/26/17)
He's not usually so succinct. Cryptic, yes. Succinct, not so much. Gods have a flare for the dramatic, at least the three I've met. In Herne's case that lends itself to a tendency for annoying monologues.
