• three books set in three different centuries - 2000s
I read this originally just over a year ago. I liked it about the same as I did the last time (I gave it four stars then as well), but I think I was able to connect to it on a bit of a deeper level this time around. It's definitely a heart breaking read, but at the same time so endearing.
A quote I really enjoyed: "Do you know how hard it is to say nothing? When every atom of you strains to do the opposite?"

I liked this one, but it was different in the sense that I didn't like the character who's POV we were in the whole book. I loved Soren - way more than Hayden. Soren seemed so up front and honest and it was Hayden who kept complicating things and not believing him and making it messy. There was also some odd pacing at times, but overall it was enjoyable!
favorite quotes from Soren:
"Eighty-six thousand, four hundred seconds. Each of those feeling like a damn lifetime to a man waiting to be with the girl he's into."
"Hayden?"
My body curled closer. "Yeah?"
"Thank you for being my only."
