Looking for a book that was possibly published in mid 2000's to 90's. Can't remember any names but I believe the heroine had purple eyes and the book opens with neighbor falling in love with them before he notices ring. She does ballet and I think he was acarpenter. Told with their story happening at her beach house and then political aspect at her home. Her husband is revealed to be gay and is having some kind of scandal she is investigating. Ends with her pregnant and with neighbor.
