The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat
are both collections of short stories, one fiction the other non-fiction. In the busy holiday season, it might be nice to be reading something that can be read in short spirts, shorter pieces that can be finished and the book abandoned for a period of time without losing one's place in the narrative.
Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege, 1942–1943 and The New York Trilogy, since they both have cities in the title (I'm assuming the New York references the city and not the state, but I don't know).
