YA Fantasy for weekly reading 10-15k/week

PRINCE OF IRON is a fantasy novel with a mixture of mystery, action,

adventure, political intrigue, and steampunk.



I really want to go over it and get it really polished. I'm looking for consistency, making sure the characters are likable, pacing, etc. Here's the query to give you an idea:



Darren has lived all of his life in a world that tries to kill him

every day. And he loves it. He lives on the edge of the world-spanning

ocean of sand that flows in endless waves and works as a Wind Walker

traversing cables miles above the ground. But he dreams of more-- to

fly through the sky and join the Dragon Corps.





Ella has trained since birth for one thing alone. She is the best

Dragon Racer of the Domain of Wind and she’s leading a mission to free

Darren's Domain of Iron from the oppressive control of the Domain of

Air. She leaves her home and travels in an airship over the dangerous

wind-scoured deserts to sneak her way into Iron.





Ella and Darren are on a collision course. When Ella’s airship is

almost destroyed by a sandstorm, Darren saves it and helps heal her

injuries. As a reward for his bravery, he is entrusted with a dragon

egg. With a bit of Ella's help, they get enrolled in the Dragon

Academy together, where they make unexpected allies with secrets of

their own. Now Darren and Ella have to figure out their intensely

confusing feelings for one another all while hunting down the spies

trying to kill them and their friends. If they don’t succeed, it risks

shattering the fragile balance between the seven Domains and another

great war will break out.
