Deleting a book?

Hello,
As far as I know, as librarians, we are allowed to delete the exact same duplicate of an existing book with less than 5 reviews. And I had tried to delete the exact duplicate of an existing book (the exact same book, not an edition) Although it has NO REVIEWS nor ratings, I got the warning message of ''Only super-librarians can delete books with so many reviews'' (the book I tried to delete absolutely had no reviews/rating) What could be the reason? Is there anything that I misunderstood? what do you recommend in this kind of cases? Thanks.

It may have only 5 reviews, but it may have been shelved by readers more than 5 times, and that will prevent you from being able to delete it. Also, if it's the only edition of a particular book, you will not be allowed to delete it, either.

This would be the appropriate thread to request the merge- https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... You'll need to separate the book with the edition to be merged into (unless it needs to be merged with default), and then post in that thread explaining your request.
