Roniq I just checked out "The two of Us, Le Vieil Homme et L'enfant from the Library.
This film made in 1967 is so sweet. I just loved it. A story of a Jewish boy living in Paris during Nazi Occupation. His parents fearing for his life send him to the country to live with an elderly Catholic couple until France's Liberation. The old man he is sent to live with is a staunch Antisemetic forcing the young boy to hide his identity while there relationship grows. This is a true story and the young boy and the elderly man have such an amazing friendship. I watched some of the extra footage on this as well which is just as interesting. Beautiful black and white photography and a wonderful story. The cutest little boy I've seen on screen. Hard to believe this was his first role. Highly recommended.

Maria | 10 comments Je le connais pas. But I enjoyed "La vita è bella"/ "Life is beautiful". A french movie I like is "37°2 le matin". (1986) It is based on Betty Blue by Philippe Djian
