I'm having the same "problem"! I feel like going back and re-watching the movie now :) Though I think the later stories are not around Mowgli and Co, so the soundtrack should fade...

"NOW this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack..."

It alternates between Mowgli stories and non-Mowgli stories.

Thnx.

Yes. That one seemed really out of place and didn't fit in at all. There was another about the camp animals that technically fits the Jungle theme, but it still seemed a bit out of place.

I just read the White Seal, and I also thought that story seemed out of place with the book title. Then I remember that earlier year I saw the Sea Cows for the first time at the Zoo. They were placed indoor in the rain forrest section. Thus, I began surfing and eventually found out that "jungles in literature can represent a less civilized or unruly space outside the control of civilization". With this definition of jungle, I dear say that the story fits the title. I hope this helps to ease your mind as it did mine.

Okay. Thank you for answering. I am starting just now. I was reading A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, a buddy read with some members of this group. Now looking forward to this gem. My first time to read it. Don't remember the older Aladdin movie and don't know the more recent one, so I am fresh here.

Aladdin has nothing to do with The Jungle Book :)

Lol
That Disney does strange things to stories 😀

Agreed, but The Jungle Book and Aladdin are two separate Disney films :)

😋 I'm funny like that.

Me too -- but I am trying to find which shelf I have hidden this book on.

Closing is:
When Chil the Kite brings home the night
That Mang the Bat sets free
The beasts are locked in barn and byre
For loosed til dawn are we
For now is the hour of passion and power
Of talon, tush and claw
Oh hear the call, good hunting all
Who keep the Jungle Law.
Good night and good hunting, Pack
(Cubs respond): Goodnight and good hunting, Akrla and Leaders.
