Ann (annrumsey) | 12179 comments Barnes and Noble has launched their own ebook store. Is it better than a Kindle? They don't have a reader device of their own (yet anyway) It doesn't sound as easy to buy their books, but there are more options for reading them from computers and other devices.

Marcy | 864 comments David Poque, a technology editor for the NY Times is somewhat intriqued, but skeptical of B&N's claims about #s of books available (compared to Amazon #s plus free domain, which B&N already includes in their totals). He also cautions about higher prices for B&N. I guess time will tell if they can beat or match the success of the kindle, but times are certainly changing. I'll read anything.

It does sound like they are trying a bit too hard to inflate their numbers with open domain titles, not as much with copyrighted classics or best sellers.
