ABOUT SEPTEMBER
Duration: September 1-September 30, 2017

September has three birth flowers: the forget-me-not, the morning glory and the aster. Forget-me-nots represent love and memories, asters represent love as well, and the morning glory represents unrequited love. These are all very passionate flowers.

September is the only month with the same number of letters in its name as the number of the month: it is the ninth month and has nine letters.

On an average September day more babies are born in the US than on a day in any other month. Holiday Sex!!

The definition of a Harvest Moon is: the full moon closest to the fall equinox. The Harvest Moon was thus named because it rises within a half-hour of when the sun sets. In early days, when farmers had no tractors, it was essential that they work by the light of the moon to bring in the harvest.

National All-American Breakfast Month

2002 - Kelly Clarkson won the first season of American Idol on FOX

September 5
1836 - Sam Houston was elected as the first president of the Republic of Texas.

September 8
Pardon Day, a day to seek and give forgiveness. On Pardon Day put aside all your grudges, be kind to everyone and forgive those who may have hurt you.

September 10
1846 - Elias Howe patented his sewing machine.
1913 - The Lincoln Highway opened as the first coast-to-coast paved U.S. Highway.

September 13
Uncle Sam Day (his image was first used in 1813)

September 19th
International "Talk Like A Pirate Day"

September 23

Challenge Rules
(view spoiler)
