SOLVED. Fiction read in 2015 or 2016, takes place in New Orleans and Michigan. [s]

I read a book in about 2015 that I think I randomly picked up in an airport bookstore. It's about a newscaster in New Orleans. She has some kind of scandal and/or failed romance and goes to Michigan to visit a family member that she was estranged from I believe. I can't remember why. There she meets a man that I think runs a winery that she ends up being interested in. I think it was a somewhat popular book that year, showing up on book lists, etc, but I can't remember what it was called.

Lisa, what's the genre or tone - romantic, steamy/clean, love/hate at first sight, angsty, funny, suspense, mystery, etc.?

Is she working in Michigan or just visiting a family member?

I think it was mostly a drama involving this woman's job (a promotion she wants?), her current relationship (with someone who may have been a local politician) and her relationship with an estranged family member (her mother?). It had some romance also. I can't remember why she went to Michigan, but I think it may have been to look for her long lost mother.
