Pass The Parcel Round 9 - Q&A / Theme Announcements
Jane (PS) wrote: "You can use any version that fits the call. "
I guess the issue is that I don't have access to the version that fits. So since the version I have doesn't fit, does that mean I can't use it? I would have to get the other version from another library just to fit the challenge? Or can I just show the cover that fits and read the copy that I have since the story is the same?
I'm sorry if I'm being difficult. I just want to follow the rules
Sorry - I mean that if another version works, for this theme you may use that version even though your paperback version doesn’t fit.

It is painful either way! It takes a good week to get back to normal. I hate it!! And it just doesn't make any sense anymore.
This is probably just me being overly cautious, but want to make sure the book works:Does it count if the title has a "glow" effect in another color?
Thanks!
Hi Jane,I have changed my mind about the book I want to use for this week's theme. Should I post a new selection post or edit my initial one given its been just over 24 hours since the call?
edit: ignore question - just found answer on page 2 of Q & A :-)

Can we use a version that is in another language - even if we are going to read the english version? Just want to make sure - thanks
Jane (PS) wrote: "Hi Melissa- yes, but again just for this week 🙃"Sweet - thanks!! I can double dip with my speedy Bingo book :D
Calila wrote: "I keep wanting to say....I LOVE all the team names this round."Yeeeessss. They are so creative.
Anna Serene wrote: "Would you consider the type on this
black? I can't really tell."I think it is actually a really dark blue however the 'Nora Roberts writing as' could well be black (above JD Robb) so you can use it...
Does the subtitle count as needing to be black?
The Witch: A History of Fear, from Ancient Times to the Present
"THE WITCH" is in black.
But the A History of....is in red.
Not sure which is the sub-title; it looks like The Witch is the title... I’ll say yes to this for that reason 🙃
Jane, a question came up regarding theme #14 (spelling out CANDY LAND)...do we disregard a, an, the as we normally do? Or can a title that begins with A or An be used for A?
~KarenH~ wrote: "Jane, a question came up regarding theme #14 (spelling out CANDY LAND)...do we disregard a, an, the as we normally do? (That one last round was for 'words stating with consecutive letters' which had some confusion on whether 'a', 'and' and 'the' could separate the words... :)

Wanted to ask since last week you specified it was just for that week, do we need to use the publisher for the edition we read or is any okay? Thanks! :)
Kait wrote: "Wanted to ask since last week you specified it was just for that week, do we need to use the publisher for the edition we read or is any okay? Thanks! :)"Any edition is fine, so long as the publisher fits for one of the editions.

SandyL wrote: "If the book is self published does that work (for example, Lauren Blakely Books for L?)"Yes - if that is what is shown in the publisher segment on GR.

I think Chan was hoping to convince Jane to give us the next theme a little early.

shhh....
I nearly went cross-eyed trying to work out why the call would be a day early!!!! 😝...plus I’m working today (not my usual day), so it put me off slightly...
