Ashley, are there other family members - mother, siblings, pets?

Why is the father ordering these linens - e.g., mother is sick, they just moved to a new house?

Ashley | 12 comments Thanks for the reply! From what I recall, there is a mother, and she's gone to work or out for the day and asked the father to order these items while she's gone. As for why, I'm not sure there was more of a reason than that their old things were getting a bit dingy/worn.

Ashley | 12 comments Thanks for the suggestion, Ayshe, but no, this doesn't look familiar.

Here is a short description from Kirkus:
Kirkus:
Craftily structured, this is Posy's bedtime--the three stories (and an encore) that she wangles from her father about when she "was little." (Age three, say, to her present six or seven.) "Posy and the Sheets" has Mommy going out to the fish store, leaving Daddy to order four pairs of new sheets--any kind or color, "That's when you looked up at me and said PINK." With Posy continuing to say PINK, the family winds up with one pair of plain pink sheets, one pair of pink sheets with pink stripes, one pair with pink flowers and one pair with pink fish.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments You're welcome :)

Our local library gives us patrons access to the book database site called NoveList. It's a great resource; I use it often to find books.
