Hi Katie! Welcome to the wonderful world of Goodreads, and of course, the best book site on it, TNBBC!!!

As far as reading, well, Im happy to hear you are going to join us on the two current group reads. I would also recommend checking in on the "What are you reading" thread, the "Latest Splurge" thread, and a bit farther down, the "Recommendations, anyone" thread to get yourself started.

You will find TONS of new things to read and fall in love with! I promise!

Welcome Katie. It's true! It's true! Hang on to your TBR... it's going to explode!!

I have just finished The Three Musketeers which got off to a great start and unfortunately bogged down at the end; a worthwhile read, however.

Also finished A Thousand Splendid Suns, whcih I loved. Liked Kite Runner better, but it was awfully good.

I read Time Traveller's Wife a few months ago and really loved it...

JSou Hi Katie! You will love it here! Pretty much in every thread you'll be adding to your to-read list. Some of my faves though are the "what are you reading", "show us your bookcase", and of course, the splurge thread. A word of caution though, reading that one will make you want to drop what you're doing and immeadiately go book shopping! :-)

This is a great group and there's always great discussions about everything here!

Edith | 256 comments Hi Katie! I also track the personal reading goals folder. There are a ton of suggestions in there too. I've added so many that I'd never even heard of. Plus it's great motivation to power through your TBR stack :)

Roseann | 400 comments Hi Katie,

If you want to really get reading, you may want to try one of the seasonal challenges--don't be scared because of the Summer Challenge's amount of books, it's a fluke (I hope). These really get you reading things that you might not have ever thought of and it's fun too!

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) Welcome Katie - This is a great group and like someone above said, any thread contains lots of books that you will end up adding to your TBR thread. My favorite is the What are you reading thread and the splurge thread. They both have done a lot of good (or damage as my husband says) to my TBR list.

It is too late to join the Shelf-a-thon challenge for this time, but you should check it out. It is a fun challenge and not quite as daunting as the seasonal challenge while still getting you to look for books outside your normal range.

That said - I am looking forward the the Fall Challenge myself.

Looking forward to reading and chatting more with you.

You made me laugh. Yeah we are a bunch of oldies in your eyes, but in our eyes we are young .

So many other fun threads too! Look forward to chatting with you.
