Do you ever look at Facebook or Goodreads advertisements.

Hi, I`m just wondering if anyone has ever used the pay per click type advertising on Facebook, Goodreads etc and if they got a response. What sort of response? Likes? Actual sales?

I`m also wondering if YOU ever notice these ads and if you have ever personally clicked or become aware of a book because of them. I personally tend not to notice them.

Good Reads no, Facebook yes - that is where I find most of my books these days.

I don't look at either, although with fb willing to send ads my way in my interests, I might. Facebook makes good revenue from theirs.Every site has ads and it's way too much for all of us. I go to a site to network, not have to see ads.

I am the odd duck here.
I've clicked on ads both here and on Facebook.
In fact (as recently as this morning) I clicked on an ad for Zulily and I'm not even sure why ;-)

actually, not at Facebook or Good Reads, but at other social sites or organizations. And I really hope that these sites allow such these ads for authors and publishers themselves not for anyone.

When I'm on my personal page, I find the ads invasive, so I never click on them. I haven't noticed them on the fan pages.

I've used it on goodreads and it generated an additional 162 readers to add my book to their book to read list. It worked. I will use it again on my next book.
