The shepherd's daughter Arachne, who was a very talented weaver,
Boasted her skill was greater than that, of the goddess Athena,
In a reckless act, of pure hubris, to prove she was the best,
She challenged the great deity of weaving, to a spinning contest,
But mere mortal skill, was simply no match, and so Arachne lost,
Foolish conceit, cursing her to incur, a very heavy cost,
Her descendants, to this day, paying the price for her sin,
Forever destined to crawl upon, the sticky webs that they spin

No problem. Sorry. Prose is standard writing. Sentences and paragraphs. A novel, or a newspaper article. His writing (ARACHNE) is a poem. The quality of which is debatable; nevertheless, a poem.

A prose poem would have standard punctuation within a paragraph. This poem has erratic punctuation (commas where there should be periods, among other things) and is presented as (pseudo) iambic pentameter. Strictly a poem. Not prose.
