Blueberry (blueberry1) North Carolina

Finally finished Written in My Own Heart's Blood. Number 9 in the series. Added bunches of new characters. Too many characters to follow for me. 3.5 stars

Blueberry (blueberry1) Georgia
Someone Else's Love Story by Joshilyn Jackson. 2 stars

There were parts of this I enjoyed but too many other parts I skimmed over in boredom.

Blueberry (blueberry1) Tennessee
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett 4 stars

This seemed to be exactly what I was needing to read right now. An adventure in the Amazon. I liked this book a lot but it almost started to drag in the middle and I didn’t like part of the ending.

PBT Award winner for July tag.

Blueberry (blueberry1) New Mexico

Death Comes for the Archbishop the story telling is sparse but the book showcases the beauty of the southwest.

I thought I was heading to Arizona next but I see New Mexico is a hub and I also discovered the ending date is Sept 30 not August 31st so I have to decide where to travel next.

P.S. Carlsbad Caverns were awesome!

Blueberry (blueberry1) Heading to Nevada.

Blueberry (blueberry1) I decided to go to Arizona even though I could have jumped over it because New Mexico was a hub. I read Song of the Lion by Anne Hillerman. Even though she has been compared to her father, Tony Hillerman, and has contined writing his series seamlessly after his passing, this book wasn't as good as her last two. I was even disappointed with some sexist attitudes from the main character which I had never noticed in previous stories.
