Where in NZ are you? And do you think feminism is a pertinent topic here?

I'm in New Plymouth and confess I have so much more freedom in here than in BR. My bf always talks about how NZ is progresses and women here are free. I disagree, although I think it's certainly better than most countries. Thoughts?

I definitely think feminism is pertinent here. I think NZ is definitely more progressive than most, and they certainly talk about how progressive the country is... but still very few female CEOs etc., so probably more work to do!

But I'd love to hear from people who have been here much longer than I have, I've only been in the country two months so I haven't experienced enough to form a solid opinion :)
