Me too! I really thought something was going to prevent it from turning out the way it did.

Still the same - great if I can find a book I feel like reading. I discarded 3 yesterday...

How did you like that series Lieke? I was planning on starting that this summer.

Meera | 138 comments Jonetta wrote: "Question...you're giving up on Silva's series? What happened? I've read the first book and collected the rest. "

I just haven't gotten into it Jonetta. A friend of mine loves this series so I've given it a good try. I don't dislike them but they haven't grabbed me. The last one, I was feeling bored with half of it and I felt the same way with the first 2 so I feel like I need to let this series go.

Seeing how you and some of the others really like these series, I have to try them out!

Wow, Lieke! I know that 11 books read is wonderful for the month. Congrats and I'm jealous that you, too, are moving forward in Sookie Stackhouse.

Thanks for that feedback. I'm listening to the series and enjoyed the first book. Wonder if that makes much of a difference.

Just realized that I totally forgot to post my June roundup. I totally blame the end of semester madness!

1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
Two
Up to date with The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband (Rokesbys, #2) by Julia Quinn and finished Edge of Midnight (Chasing Evil, #3) by Leslie Tentler

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes, 3
Will continue with: Against the Dark (The Associates, #1) by Carolyn Crane
Will not continue: Murder in Plain Sight (The Brotherhood of the Raven #1) by Marta Perry Tempted by Her Billionaire Boss (The Tenacious Tycoons #1) by Jennifer Hayward

3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes, 10

Forged by Desire (London Steampunk, #4) by Bec McMaster The Dirt on Ninth Grave (Charley Davidson, #9) by Darynda Jones Portrait in Death (In Death, #16) by J.D. Robb Dead as a Doornail (Sookie Stackhouse, #5) by Charlaine Harris The Water Witch (Fairwick Chronicles, #2) by Juliet Dark Kaleidoscope (Colorado Mountain, #6) by Kristen Ashley Rock Hard (Rock Kiss, #2) by Nalini Singh On a Wicked Dawn (Cynster, #9) by Stephanie Laurens Chilled (Bone Secrets, #2) by Kendra Elliot Nine Dragons (Harry Bosch, #15; Mickey Haller, #3; Harry Bosch Universe, #18) by Michael Connelly

4. Any standout or 5 star books read?
Loved Rock Hard (Rock Kiss, #2) by Nalini Singh - a fantastic office romance. Also enjoyed Legal Affairs Boxed Set Volumes 1-6 (Legal Affairs, #1-6) by Sawyer Bennett which is a serialized work but I listened to the complete novel. Another great office romance (I have a thing for this trope).

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
Read 17 books. While I continued quite a few series, most of them were only OK and even had a couple of 2 star reads :(

I guess you just can't like everything...
