Powell's Books

Almost every time I venture into Portland, I go to this bookstore. In my opinion it is easily the best bookstore in Oregon. I can lose myself for hours in there. I also love in the Science Fiction and Fantasy section, the pillar that many of my favorite authors have autographed. Does anyone else just love to go here and stay for hours on end browsing? (Oh yeah, and I am talking about the large Powell's. Never been to the other ones.)

The browsing is amazing there for sure - I'm looking forward to heading over there after work today, actually!

I love it for browsing as well but I love it more for getting to turn old books into credits for more new books !!! I get lost in any bookstore I lose track of all time.

When in Powells on Burnside, stop by "Metaphysics/Speculative History", and when in Beaverton, stop by "Metaphysics/Fiction". :-) These two categories ar great for Science Fiction enthusiasts.

I also love Powell's. I can get lost there for literally hours at a time. I always come out of there with a list of books I want to read and usually with one or two books I bought. It is a dangerous place to go into.
