Myta (mytsanti) | 56 comments Hi! Doing a lot of reading about Spain, but most of them are nonfiction. My work requires me to read up on the rise and fall of the Spanish Empire, but I want to take it easy with the hard facts and relax with historical fiction.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Alice Poon (alice_poon) C. W. Gortner's The Queen's Vow: A Novel of Isabella of Castile was a great read for me - well researched and well written.

(You can stream it on the app DramaFever with subtitles)

Looks interesting! Will try to see if the DramaFever app works in my country. Thanks!

I hear Gortner's novels are well-researched, but never ready any. Might as well try now. Thank you!
