Padraig O'Ciardubhain (bathsb) | 10 comments Hi folks. Looking for some recommends. I love small town horror (such as Derry, Maine and Castle Rock a la Stephen King, Floating Dragon by Peter Straub and The Lottery by Shirley Jackson) but I feel I've read most of them by more well known authors. I love being creeped the hell out by the "evil in a small town" type novel. just wondering are there any good ones that are a little more off the beaten path? Thanks in advance :)

I seldom re-read books but this is a series I may have to revisit soon... it's that good.
I hope sometime soon Maberry writes more about the town. There have been a few short stories but I want a big thick novel!

The Serenity Falls Trilogy by James A Moore. I think it does come as a collected edition as well. Some of his other books take place in small towns, but this is what I think about for Evil in a Small Town.

These two books by Brian Keene are about a small town horror.
Read Dark Hollow first, then Ghost Walk second.
