Can anyone recommend books/authors similar in theme to Richard Preston's The Hot Zone A Terrifying True Story or The Cobra Event?

Auntee | 494 comments Sounds a little like Robin Cook--gruesome medical stuff. Is that what you're looking for--medical thrillers?

I've never read anything by this Preston guy but yeah gruesome medical stuff seems to cover it. I'll have to check out Robin Cook.

Auntee | 494 comments He's got some good stuff. Did you ever see the movie "Coma"?

jenjn79 | 104 comments East, there's one by William Close called Ebola. Very similar type of story to The Hot Zone. Also Robin Cook's Outbreak (different from the movie Outbreak), and Carriers by Patrick Lynch. Those are all older books that I read years ago during my Michael Crichton/medical thriller run.
