This author has two profiles but one of them has the name in English and Japanese with each others
What is the best thing to do: merging the profiles, keeping them, or keeping both and make the one with two languages in Japanese only?

Empress (the_empress) Hi Ismail,

Unfortunately someone has taken the easy way of changing the Japanese name to an English Japanese one instead of creating the primary profile the right way.

Ideally the change from 2016 should be reverted making the English/Japanese profile into a Japanese only. That would keep all 501 followers to the original profile and then the English name of the author should be added as primary to every single edition. Please feel free to do that if you are willing to put the work into the profile.

For now I have changed the Primary profile from Shungiku Nakamura-中村 春菊 to Shungiku Nakamura and created the Japanese profile here.

P.S. Only Japanese editions need to have 中村 春菊 as secondary name. Please let us know if you have any questions. Also, here is the policy on translated authors: Authors with books published in multiple languages should have their names dealt with similarly to those with pen names. All editions should have the primary author name as the standard or most common Roman (that is, English-language) version of the author's name. Editions published under another spelling of the name or the name in another language should have that name listed as the secondary author. From the manual
