*sings* Because it's JUNE! June, June, June. Just because it's June, June, June! *dances, too*

Mission: Read a book that has the word "bride" in its title. Or a bridal gown displayed prominently on the cover. This is a one book mini-challenge to be completed before June 31.

Examples:
The Princess Bride
The Ghost Bride
The Robber Bride
The Bride
Bed of Roses

I'll read either A Reliable Wife or A Wedding On Primrose Street for this

I read a classic play about a very unfortunate bride, Die Braut von Messina (The Bride of Messina) by Friedrich Schiller.

That looks interesting. The link just doesn't give much background Info... What's it about?

It is a German tragedy by one of the great authors, Friedrich Schiller. It is set on Sicily, sometime in the Christian era, but the author was trying to write it in the style of a Greek tragedy (a combination of oracles and convents). It has a very Gothic feel to it. I enjoyed it, even though it was a tragedy.

I went with The Look of Love, the second Wedding Cake Mystery. It was just okay.
