Peggy (pebbles84) | 15388 comments How many books do you normally read in a month Margo?

Your list sounds interesting! I only read The Snow Child, and really enjoyed it.

message 10: by Margo (new)

Margo | 10031 comments About 8 to 10 most months Peggy but I have to fit in a few group BOM, some live book club reads and some that are already on my shelf demanding attention - and some of them are chunky ;-)

If I concentrated i would do it in 2 months easy but ....the lure of the book lol

Scalzi is very popular in this group I've noticed. I just missed out on Old Man's War. Determined to read it next year tho!

message 21: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 50008 comments I still have a couple of books in the Old Man's War to go. It was a buddy read here that got me into that series... and Scalzi, for that matter.

message 22: by Paul (new)

Paul I've read the whole set as well as Redshirts. I plan to read Locked In soon as well. I read a novella of his Dispatcher about two months back. Really good book amd quite different to his other stuff

message 23: by Margo (new)

Margo | 10031 comments Redshirts is the only one I have read and I enjoyed it. In places it was mind-bending and in others LOL funny. I hope this one is as good.

message 24: by Paul (new)

Paul I would consiser Old Mans War a lot better than Redshirts so hoping this is more like it

I thought Lock In was very good. I have not read the second yet. I have read almost all of his books but the No Human Division ones. I think Zoe's Tale is next up in The Old Man's War series. I am really ready to get into The Collapsing Empire on the 18th - I actually listened to the first chapter, but will put off the rest until the buddy read.

I'll be reading Lock In in the next week. I have one other book I want to read first.
