Kai laugher at her eagerness in getting to breakfast. She was probably on the hungry side. "I hope that I'm always to reason you make that sound. Yes, let's get to breakfast and then I think mi Mama has something planned for you." He walked with her down the stairs to the dining room which was more like a dining hall. There were round tables dotting that place with people eating together. Most families with children went to a more formal dining room they had. "We usually have a little bit of everything. Meat, eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, just whatever you want go for it." Kai let Maya go first in line and he followed her. That was until his mother called for him, "Mijo! Mijo! Ah, mi hija! You both need to eat quickly. Kai you have work to do and Maya, I want to take you shopping before my husband realizes I am gone. He's been a bit protective lately." Rosario kissed her son's head and then Maya's for her good morning. Rosa, who had been next to her mother, decided to stay with her brother and his mate. "Kai, can I eat with you and Maya? Please?" The little girl started to grab her own food as she begged her brother. Of course Kai grunted and groaned at the thought of eating with his little sister. "I guess you can this once but don't make a habit out of it, okay Rosa." She squealed, more excited to eat with Maya than Kai.

On the very hungry side, the feline had already started to get her food when Rosario came over and informed her about the shopping trip. As happy as she might be, a small frown tugged at the corners of her lis when she heard that Kai's father was being more protective lately. Maya could think of a few reasons why......And most of them included her. Maybe she was wrong, but the cat doubted it. It made her feel something that she couldn't quite identify. Almost a gnawing sensation, but it wasn't anxiety, nor was it worry. Snapping out of it at the high pitched squealing, she actually jumped a little bit and turned her attention to Rosa, the purr picking back up again as she welcomed his little sister accordingly with affection. "Look Kai, you got competition" SHe purred, joking of course. Grabbing the rest of the food, the feline balanced the full plate in on the fingertips of one hand and holding little Rosa's hand in the other as she went and claimed a seat. Next to Kai of course "So Mr.Alpa, What type of Alpha duties do you have to do???" She asked curiously

Rosa was happy to be holding Kai's mate's hand and to be sitting next to her. She always wanted a sister and therefore, Maya was her ticket. "My competition is a little girl? I think I can win." He was glad his mate sat next to him. Some people looked over and eyed the newcomer. A few growled and others didn't even notice. Kai glared at them before answering Maya. "Well I have papers to fill out along with reports and paychecks. I must train and then have a meeting with my father and my Beta. It is a long process that get repeated almost every day." He sighed softly and gave her smiled. Kai new that being an Alpha's mate was difficult and now, Maya was a rarity that people weren't so willing to accept. Well except for him, his mother, and Rosa. Without being a mountain lion, Kai's mother saw her father only if she went to his office and some nights. "However, I can teach you to do my work and you can help me." He nudged her with his shoulder and kissed her cheek before continuing to eat. "You never ask me to help you! I can help too!" Rosa pouted, stabbing her food a little aggressively at her brother's rejection for her help.
