favourite childhood book(s)?

mine were of course harry potter, and the lovely the brothers lionheart. jonatan was actually the very first character i fell in love with, and it's also one of the few books i've reread.

oh and julia's reis was also a favourite for a long time - it isn't translated to english but the title says "julia's journey" and it's about a girl who can travel through time by touching a painting.

Heidi, by Johanna Spyri with illustrations from Martha Pfannenschmied. All the characters of that novel are still living in my mind. We had no TV then at home (1956) , means my mind was not already flooded with pictures, so the illustrations had a deep impact on me. I loved them so much.
