Sherrymoon Heidi, by Johanna Spyri with illustrations from Martha Pfannenschmied. All the characters of that novel are still living in my mind. We had no TV then at home (1956) , means my mind was not already flooded with pictures, so the illustrations had a deep impact on me. I loved them so much.
