I've just finished Fairest, Queen Levana's backstory from the Lunar Chronicles. I read it in one take - this story is seriously messed up. I expected to feel some sympathy for her when learning about her history, but I don't think I ever did. She's a really good villain though, because she's able to justify everything in her head. It was really interesting (and uncomfortable) being inside her mind.

I totally agree. Like Umbridge, she is a very well-written villain!

Here Lies Daniel Tate is so good! It's so much fun reading from the POV of an unreliable narrator because you have no idea what's real and what's not. Daniel was an incredible antihero, not really a villain but still an experienced con artist. I found it very difficult to put the book down.
