I did! It's written in in kind of an "alternative" format, every chapter is actually a short story/scene from a family member, going from the 1700s to the present day. I was more interested in the historical bits than the present-day bits, but overall it was really good!

Renae (romanticparvenu) | 34 comments I liked it, but didn't love it. The attention to spiritualism/magic was great, but the writing wasn't STELLAR. I would recommend it for sure, though, for a look at Afro-Caribbean culture.
