Book Narrated by Author

If a book is narrated by the author, should their name be added in a second time as a narrator?

No. You can add Author & Narrator to the role field though.

One other question. How do I add Narrator to a secondary author role which already has the name?
I removed the Narrator and then added him back in again to assign the role. Is there a different way of doing that?

No, that is currently the best way to add an author role for a secondary author.
