Tim Rees | 732 comments I went when In Sights was published. My experience was literally organised chaos - forgive the pun. Can't say I learnt anything I didn't know already.

When I was in New York with Raw Nerve I attended a literary event with Maya Angelou and Erica Jong, among others. That was far better organised.

And I'm too busy this week anyway. Is there anyone else in this group from Wales?

If they have beers there, can be a nice festival: books and booze

Tim Rees | 732 comments Hi, Nik. Plenty of booze and socialising going on at the Hay. When I went I was invited by my publisher, so was invited to various parties. However, just turning up means struggling to find room in a pub!! They'll all be packed... :D But, anyway, I have my nieces staying with me at the moment - it's half-term - so I can't go anyway... However, I have stocked up with Guinness at home... :D

Then you'll compensate for non-attendance -:)
