I'm quite behind with my buddy-reads but I try to start this today :)

I've read 5 first chapters now. It seems like a nice story but not really special in any way yet. But I've just got started so a lot can still happen.

I wonder why the dragon (view spoiler)[ needs to act so unpleasant towards the girls he takes. Wouldn't it be nicer for him, too, if they'd get along. And why is he called dragon anyway? I'd also like to know why the girls always leave town after serving their 10 years in the tower. (hide spoiler)]

I went on and read another 5 chapters. So now I'm done with chapter 10 and the story is getting darker and better.

I love (view spoiler)[ the Wood. It's quite creepy actually. Maybe because it's just this idea of a wood but you don't know what it really is. Kasia being swallowed by the hearttree was horror movie material...and the the summoning, too 😀 I just don't know what's gonna happen next...there's still plenty of pages left and it seems they already got Kasia back. (hide spoiler)]

I am still waiting on my book to get to my library. They only have two copies in our system and they are both checked out.

My library takes so long at times. My own library doesn't even have the book, so they have to get it from one of our "sister" libraries within the county. And only 2 libraries have it and both have it checked out so it depends when the borrowers bring it back. And they don't say when it's due. :(

I totally get it. My sister has put one book on hold three separate times and has never got it. There's one copy in the library and obviously someone has decided not to return it at all. So annoying!

That's terrible!

Yeah, luckily the system usually works well and people return the books when they're due. ☺

I'm done with chapter 20.

I like how this book does not have clear bad guys or good guys. I don't really trust (view spoiler)[ the Falcon but I don't think he's really evil either. And the same goes for the prince. He just wants to get his mother back. The king seems to be ok but now it turned out he plans to execute the queen and re-marry. Also the other witches and wizards seem to be against Agniezka somehow but I don't think they're really bad, though. Just different from Agniezka. (hide spoiler)]

I have a feeling (view spoiler)[the trial won't go exactly as planned. I wonder what will happen to the queen and Kasia. (hide spoiler)]

I finished. It was a nice story. A little different from other fantasy stories I've been reading lately.

I think the wood (view spoiler)[ was a great villain and I'm happy the wood people found their peace. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder how (view spoiler)[Agniezka had energy to use so much magic after defeating father Ballo. Willow told her not to use magic for a week but she kept using it almost non-stop 'til the end of the book ☺ (hide spoiler)]
