Some reviewers have criticised the book blurb for giving away key points about the narrative name that Tod Friendly was a Nazi doctor how do you think the book would have been different if you didn't already know this key piece of information?

I think the book would have been more intriguing if I hadn't known this information and was like the narrator working my way blindly back through time to the big reveal. The fact that I knew what was coming meant the actual moment had less impact.

I was okay with knowing, there was a certain amount of tension created in wondering how awful the details would get. I felt the impact which could have been greater never was because it was couched in "giving life" rather than taking life because of the fact that the story is going backwards.

John Seymour I agree with BW. I hated it. Though I think they were trying to figure out how to sell the book.
