Raine (rainelu) | 220 comments I like James Patterson as a writer, and I like some of his other love stories, but this one I just did not like. I can pretty much say that it was dreadful.

We meet Jennifer, a widow, who is called to her Grandmother's bedside in Lake Geneva, WI, where she is hoping that her Grandmother gets well. Here she meets up with a childhood friend, Brendan. I always say, "everything happens to me" but after reading this book I can say that, "everything happens to Jennifer". If I were this chick I would just jump in a hole and stay there.

The book is kind of predictable and I'm not going to tell you about the letters. Maybe it is just somewhat dated because it was published first in 2004, but it just made me want to puke. I know that sounds juvenile, just like this book.

Wow - I'm usually nicer than this.
