Title: A Court of Thorns and Roses
How it fits: 1st in Series
Rating: 5 stars
Review: WOW, this story was amazing! There were so many twists and turns that I never expected and so many places where I didn't even know if the main character was going to survive. I never expected the extent of the curse on Tamlin and his court and also how the characters developed, especially Rhysand, near the end. During the last task, I couldn't put the book down and I had no idea how everyone important could make it out in the end. I also liked how all the characters got their justice, except maybe poor Clare, throughout the story. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series!

God, I just wait for these books to come out. I love everything about this crossover series, except maybe the enormous cast of characters we're forced to remember. I do remember reading about Nathan's brother Brody and his two men in Finding Hope and I vaguely remember what went down when Nathan visited him but adding in so many members of the previous books had my head spinning a bit. So here we have Nathan, Brody's brother, who's running for the US Senate and Vincent who we've also met in previous books. I didn't remember him as well. There is no way I can explain all the whos and whats and whys but Vince ends up going to protect Nathan, at first without Nathan knowing. Nathan gets attacked, they go on the run (to Vince's fortress) and then they "do it"....a lot!! I don't know if it's just me but this one seemed to go from sex scene to sex scene. I was hoping for more story line in between. I did love these two though and while not as good (IMO) as some others in the series, still a winner.

Review: Another fantastic book by Ms. Sinclair. Sawyer, who was serving a prison sentence is released early due to his help during a prison break. He meets Mallory, who owns a construction business and has an ability to see people's "auras". Yes, I was a little skeptical at first but, of course, this author can convince me of anything. There is hot romance, action and, of course, a HEA. Love her books and this one was a definite winner!

Review:
Honestly, this book seemed unnecessary; I feel like the story could have concluded with one or two more chapters and an epilogue in the previous book. Instead, we have a whole book whose plot is based on a character that was fabricated somewhere along book #8, and with a lot of far-fetched scenes, even for this series. So... not a very good ending for a 9-book series in my opinion, but of course I'm still glad that I read it and finished it.

Review: The list of Toby's "special-ness" has grown wearily long, but the exploits of her and her friends is still amusing. May and Quentin, in particular, are delightful and even Tybalt's lack of individuality (he's just so in love with Toby that there's little of his personality left now) didn't mar the adventure too much. The series does need to come to conclusion, I think.

This can't be the end of this series. I laugh and wanted to cry but end up laughing some more. I think it ended in a good way and at the right time. Bear , Otter and the Kid will always be special to me. This series has best secondary characters in the history of secondary characters. Overall, I love it.

Review: Oh my gosh, I don't know how but this book was even better than A Court of Thorns and Roses, I couldn't put it down! It was also a rollercoaster of a story and all of the characters got so much more depth especially the Night Court, Rhys, and Feyre. My favorite part was probably where Rhys explained his point of view which connected several things from the first book and I also really liked how his and Feyre's relationship seemed so much more real and deep than Feyre ever was with Tamlin which seemed so rushed and unrealistic. Feyre really got time to flourish in this book and I'm so glad I waited until the third book came out to read this series because I don't think I can wait!

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed her writing style. I love me some second chance romances and this one delivered in spades. Jackson and Lucas went to a private, all boys high school and were friends before things went a bit further. Jackson's dad found out and made Jackson leave and then we get to the present day eight years later. Jackson's back to do a business deal and runs into Lucas and things did not go well. There's a lot of pain, mostly on Lucas' side. It was hard to read about this poor guy. The stereotypical playboy with a wall ten feet high. I loved the back and forth between these two and you could just feel their friendship and love coming through. They have a bit of turmoil but thankfully one of them is more mature and things didn't get too out of hand. Really enjoyed this one and can't wait to get Bash and Shaw's stories.

This book, like the first one, was a little predictable for me, but I still enjoyed it and appreciated the humour, especially in the dialogues. Again, what I like best in this series is the creative twist to greek mythology to adapt it to modern society.

Title: City of Bones
How it fits: Brown Cover
Rating: 5 stars
Review: This book was very different than I was expecting, especially since I read the first chapter a while back and the rest of the book is very different. The only thing i didnt really like was tbe scene near the end where Valentine tries lying and everything became very confusing with the twist (spoiler) that Jace and Clary were siblings. It was interesting though to hear the entire backstory of Jocelyn and Luke which was a mystery throughout the first half of the story.

Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews
How it Fits: #9 in the Kate Daniels series
Finished:
Pages: 328
Rating: 4 stars
Review: A little darker than some of the others in the series, I like that the authors have Kate struggling with her 'humanity' and fighting the urge not to go down the rabbit hole and let all the power go to her head. The found family feeling that the supporting characters give the series is still in strong force and I love how Julie is growing - no typical teenage angst for her, she's older and wiser but still recognizably a teenager.
The book ended on such a note that I could happily let this be the conclusion. I thought that the authors originally intended 9 books but see there's #10? Hmmmm......

I like this one. I wanted to really smack the MCs for his pure stubborn and assholish way on dealing with his emotions. Second chances are not on the top of favs genre but this one didn't stay in the past too long. I will be checking out the next one in this series.
I didn't notice until tonight but another team won the challenge finishing all their books. Thanks for being a great team, everyone!
Im so sorry for being late, ive been busy working on apps and tests for college and ive had practically no free time lately ^^" Anyways, thanks for being a good team even though i was usually the last to turn in my reviews and thanks Karen for linking all our posts every week :)

I initially ignored this book for weeks. I then for got why I ignored this book for weeks. One MCs unforgiving personality got on my ever living nerves. Yes, he was wrong for what he did eleven years for being passive when you got bully but for you to be still closed minded about the truth was childish. Overall, I was annoyed but I enjoyed the story. I will continued with this series.
