Wow! There are LOTS of titles I've never heard of before!
Not all have folklore or mythology.

Nostalgia Reader (nostalgia_reader) Thanks for posting this! I found a bunch of books to add to the tbr-list.

Wow! Awesome list. I'd only heard of a very few, and hadn't read any of them.

Wouldn't it be nice to spend a year reading these? I'll have to settle for a few a year, to keep up with all my other reading projects!

Yes, my dream would be able to read all day, ideally in a beautiful place like a beach!
I had not heard of most of these books either.

I've only read 5 of them.
Birdie
Monkey Beach
The Reason You Walk
The Break
In Search of April Raintree

I was first introduced to Basil Johnston from our group read we had here a few years ago, but not the one mentioned in the list.

There are a number of books on this list that would be great for group reads here in the group and also suitable for the challenge
Lightfinder
Kiss of the Fur Queen
Red: A Haida Manga
Shadows Cast By Stars
Are just a few that caught my attention

I know we've done it before, but I might nominate Native American/Indigenous for a theme next time.

Leah (flying_monkeys) | 1009 comments Thanks for sharing, Lila! I'm glad they don't all center our group's themes/ topics/ genres since I'm always on the lookout for books by Indigenous authors in literary, dark fiction, and science fiction genres, which seems difficult to impossible to find sometimes.
